5 Things to do in Faulkner County

Woolly Hollow State Park

Woolly means lots of wool or dazed and confused thinking. A visit to this state park for hunting, fishing, swimming and hiking should clear up the meaning. There are no sheep in the park, and only cows viewed in the surrounding pastureland. The question you must ask yourself is, what’s so confusing about having a great time in the great outdoors loving nature and spending time with family?

Beaver Fork Lake

Conway has a few distinctions, one of which is a pre-gateway to the Ozarks. The other are it’s borders. The Arkansas River lines the West, and Lake Conway covers the South. Beaver Fork Lake is north of the city, but you won’t find any beavers with utensils in this body of water. They use their teeth. There are two swimming and picnic spots, including manmade beaches for people to enjoy, plus boat launches for anglers or water skiers alike.
