When things start to get sideways, just make a list.
Start by appreciation.
A list of everything you appreciate.
Even the little things.
Especially the little things.
I appreciate the sun.
It warms my face.
I appreciate this coffee.
It makes me human.
Then more.
Then each little thing.
Roof. Bed. Food.
Cell phone that’s stronger than the computer used to put men on the moon.
People. Aspirin.
Coca Cola. Beer. Health.
Mine. Others.
Your list could be different.
Probably is different.
That’s a good thing.
But the list helps.
It puts you in a good frame of mind.
It’s practice.
Because once you start appreciating all the some things.
It trains you to be able to appreciate everything.
And that’s a thanks worth giving.
