Chapter

Kat meets a group of misfits, renegades, and unwanted young witches.

“Okay, so we’ve got eight names on the list so far,” Kat said, running her finger down the page. “But we still need four more.”

Ophelia nodded, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms. “We want a diverse group, with a variety of magical gifts and backgrounds,” she said. “Misfits, renegades, outcasts. People who have nowhere else to go.”

Kat nodded, understanding. She knew all too well what it felt like to be an outcast. “What about Addison?” she suggested. “I heard she can control fire.”

But she’s smart and resourceful, and I think she’d be a great addition to the coven.”

Ophelia nodded, a smile of her own forming. “I agree. Nina sounds like a perfect fit. Let’s reach out to all of these people and see if they’re interested in joining us.”

Kat grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and purpose wash over her. This was it, their chance to build something special, something unique. The Crescent City Coven was starting to take shape, and she couldn’t wait to see what the future…
