Do You Follow the Money?
It was an off the cuff remark that made the decision.
You know the US gov is on the verge of a shutdown.
We’ve been here before.
Repub’s won’t pass a bill from Democrats. Each side blames the other. The bill is packed with special interest projects, and surprise, surprise they almost all benefit companies that have bought Congress.
Literally.
It’s why we need full and complete transparency for donations.
Which we won’t get because we will then know who owns the people who pass laws.
Sigh. Too much of the same makes me consider new ways of thinking.
Take cryptocurrency for example.
There is a provision in the bill to report every deposit over $600 to the banks.
I’m not too concerned about this amount, though the oversight seems a bit like a money grab to me.
But there are crypto markets on the world wide web that Uncle Sam can’t touch.
Not that I would advocate moving your money into those accounts. Too risky and not backed by the full faith and might of the US government.
Even though your bank is moving their money into the world crypto markets.
