From Disavowed — an action thriller

“This sort of thing happen a lot?”

Brill stood up from the dead guy on the floor.

No ID, nothing more than you might think.

“How did they find us?” she asked as she continued to watch.

He patted down the other man and found exactly zero pieces of information,

No indication of who they were or who they might have been.

“The cartels are upping their game.”

He rolled the smallest one over and almost ripped the shirt from the dead man’s torso.

“These might be the first wave,” he indicated the trio of would be assassins. “Can you read these?”

Em squatted across from him and studied the intricate network of black ink tattooed on the dead man’s skin.

“The Russians were easier.”

She crunched up her brow and concentration.

After a few moments, she pointed

“Kills,” She said. “Time served and affiliation.”

Brill looked at each area as her finger moved to indicate.

The last drawing looked crude, almost homemade, which meant it was probably prison ink.
