How you can earn more money from your short story writing.
Once you have your eBook published, you can make your print version. I’m going to recommend something first before you click publish on your final POD through KDP Paperback.
And yes, I recommend you master those two simple publishing platforms on the world’s largest book selling site and start to see a regular steady income before you branch out to the other online spaces.
The reason why is what you’re giving up in the 40%, you’re gaining in terms of sheer numbers.
More people use Amazon for books, than the other platforms for readers.
This may change in the next few years and you run the risk of Amazon changing the rules as well.
Here’s how you overcome that roadblock when it comes up.
Write more books. Now. Faster. Get your series done.
When you reach eight books, move your first one into wide distribution, then follow up with a new wider launch for the next seven books in the series over a seven month period, all the while still writing more books.
If Amazon changes the rules and you only have one book, no big deal.
But by the time you have a series on your hand, you can expand and in the time it took you to write and build the series, you’re going to have fans leave reviews, you’re going to build your audience and your email list, and you’ll be able to capitalize on the expansion.
Back to the first thing you should do before you click publish on your print book.
