Is This The Solution for The Fastest Shrinking City in America?

I grew up in the fastest shrinking city in America.

Except it wasn’t.

Not while I was there.

I suggested one to combat the population decline.

I told the Mayor about it.

She has not made a move on it yet.

Ten thousand new residents over the next year would combat population decline and bring Federal dollars into a city trying to revive itself.

Those dollars would translate into a new tax base and an opportunity for a public relations campaign of good news.

There is a new innovation center in Pine Bluff teaching “small business skills.”

They do not teach social media management, nor did they accept my offer to teach a class on starting an Amazon (or any digital) business.

I don’t know why.

If I sound frustrated, I’m not.

I’m looking for solutions that will translate.

Ideas that can take root in small towns and move across the country like wildfire.

Ideas that can turn the tide against whatever misdirection the news throws our way.
