Is It Worth A Million A Mile?

I wonder why.

A lot.

Good questions get good answers.

Great questions get great answers.

For me, it’s all about learning how to ask the right questions.

And practice at getting better at it every day.

The why is important.

Maybe the most important.

Why do we do the things we do when we do them.

I just saw that Arkansas got a new Federal Grant outside of the Infrastructure bill.

It’s for 20 Million Dollars.

Huzzah!

20 Million to build a 13 mile bike trail in the Delta.

Huh?

That’s a million dollars a mile.

More than a million if my math is right?

Why?

Why does it cost so much to build a nine foot blacktop across 13 miles of cotton fields?

Maybe why isn’t the best question in this case.

Maybe it should be more like, What in the Hell?

Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of this idea.

It’s an extension of an existing bike trail, which brings tourists and more importantly their tourist dollars…
