One More Way to Make Money from your Short Stories
What do you do when you have three books done? Box set. You create a box set the same way you create an eBook, but it’s priced higher, and can add additional income streams to your author pipeline.
Once you build your spin off series, you can add additional books to the box set to create more revenue.
There are a few more ways to earn income from your writing but it takes some specialized expertise that you’ll have to seek out.

I recommend that if anyone approaches you for these, do some homework or better yet, get an agent involved. Yes, you’ll give up a slice of the pie, just make sure your agent understands what pieces of the pie you’re negotiating to keep or to sell, and I suggest breaking them out individually. What if your main character tee is a huge hit in Japan, but you didn’t negotiate merchandising rights?
What if a television series is made in Germany based on one of your books?
These areas require a degree of specialization that you just hire out which frees you to focus on writing more books in the series.
I know it sounds like a lot to work on, and it can be. Except you’re a newbie, just starting out, wide eyed and innocent to the world and I want to protect you. Focus on writing your book first.
