Snack Cake Zombie

The world had transformed into a grim, post-apocalyptic wasteland. The once bustling cities were now crumbling ruins, and the streets were deserted, except for the eerie moans of the undead. I had been on the run for what felt like an eternity, scavenging for supplies to survive in this forsaken world.

One sweltering day, as the relentless sun blazed overhead, I stumbled upon an old gas station. It stood like a relic from the past, its faded sign creaking in the wind. It was in the middle of nowhere, miles away from any signs of life. My footsteps echoed on the broken asphalt as I cautiously approached the gas station. The fuel pumps were long dry, and the store’s windows were shattered, but I couldn’t resist the temptation to search for anything that might keep me going.

I pushed open the rusty door and entered the dimly lit store. Shelves had been ransacked, and debris was scattered across the floor. My heart sank as I thought I might find nothing of value, but then, there it was, tucked away in a dusty corner. A single, miraculously intact snack cake, nestled among forgotten cans and decayed wrappers.

The snack cake, with its vibrant packaging, seemed like a relic of the past, a symbol of a world that once existed. I carefully picked it up, feeling a strange mix of excitement and nostalgia. The…
