The Start Up Writer Evolution to Revolution

Order a printed copy of your book, sign it, and post it on your blog for people to buy signed copies. You just order a new one from Amazon, sign it and ship to them.

Create multiple short story sets and anthologies to sell on KDP Select. Those promo sites that wouldn’t promote a single short, will now promote book length anthologies.

Reach out to other authors to create themed anthologies. Find 10 authors to contribute a short story each of 5k words or better. Combine, order a cover, and each of the 10 promotes the work to find new readers.

Keep writing.

At the end of one year, you should have 12 novels in the series, plus 30 short stories that are set in your novel’s world.

By now, you should be making a living as an author.

You’ll also have each short story in your podcast, as well as a video format driving new readers to your opt in page.

You may also be included in multiple anthologies, and as a guest poster on multiple blogs.

That’s it, a one year plan to go from no books to making good money as a writer. It’s all predicated on good writing skills, which you can develop into great story telling over time.

The key is to write every single day, working toward a focused goal. That goal is to complete novels and short stories in a series, build your readership and turn them into raving fans.
