Thriller Thursday 5 26
It’s been that kind of week.
There were complications after St. Louis baseball tournament that created scheduling changes.
Which I’m normally pretty good at rolling with, except…
Les went to San Antonio on Tuesday for a work conference
And #10 didn’t have to go to school this week as they were only watching movies
Which left me to drive him to speed training on Tues and Thur, plus practice on Wednesday and watching every day til Friday.
His graduation.
Which I had to video and upload, and almost livestream, except she couldn’t watch it during the conference.
So at least there is that.
Plus, we’re rolling into the slow time of year for book buying as people get busy with pools, and kids home, and vacations in the US and all the other things that make reading lower on the priority list.
AND it slides right into an election, which creates uncertainty in the public, or aggravation which means a slow Fall too.
Knowing that things don’t go the way you want or plan ahead of time gives you ample opportunity to adjust.
Not quite a pivot, but then again, not quite what you thought it might be.
Still, this week, which didn’t go as planned, did give me time to pause and reflect and plan different.
Which I’m going to chalk up to a win.
