I had a bit of bad luck yesterday
I lost a big file from an external hard drive
So I’ve been head down researching solutions
And wondering, if AI is so advanced, why can’t I just give it a run at my drives and let IT find it
Alas, it doesn’t yet
So I’m researching how to write a code to do it
Maybe
I tried a recovery tool first, and followed along all the “recommended” instructions
But none of it worked -
So if you are an IT person or someone who knows a thing about a massive folder full of 3 months of work disappearing when I click delete on an mp4 file within the folder, let me know
Before you suggest going to recycle bin and restoring- I did
I got the mp4 back,
The recovery tool found all deleted files up to June 3
But MAY 2025 disappeared on June 4
I’ll keep at it, because May 2025 also had April 2025 and March 2025 added to it
We’re talking a lot of work just disappeared
Anyway, I wanted to update you quick, because if you are an UPGRADED subscriber, I’ll be sending out a new boxset on Saturday
