Want to trade?

I’m going to trade this paperclip for a house.

I didn’t think he could do it.

Just some wild eyed kid who looked like he was from Utah.

I came across a video on Youtube, and watched.

I’m not going to say “mesmerized” but I was intrigued.

Because of the question.

Could he do it?

And if so, the more important question.

How?

Turns out, it’s just asking.

He walked the street with his phone up in selfie mode and asked people if they would trade something for the paperclip.

His end game was to double the value each time.

So a five cent paperclip became a ten cent something, which he asked for more the next go round.

It was really interesting, in that he traded very early for a figurine of some sort, like a turtle.

Then he went to a yard sale where the lady just so happened to be starting a turtle collection, and his fifty cent or dollar trade jumped up to a twenty dollar valued painting.

Then it happened again later, moving him from 100 to 500 or something like that.
