What did you do this weekend?
It was a grand slam of a weekend.
Literally.
Saturday was supposed to be sunny and slightly warm.
It was not.
Constant clouds made it feel like February.
A chilly way to watch some 9AAA baseball.
The boys won both games against 10AA teams in pool play and landed in the first seed for bracket play on Sunday.
That’s a good place to be because it means you’re only two games away from the championship, or one game away from second place.
A good reward for a lot of hard work.
The clouds moved out and the sun beamed on Sunday morning.
It was sixty five when we left the house.
And forty five when we arrived at the field.
Yikes! A gray wall of wind dropped down with a swoop and turned us into shivering masses, and April showers went to work on May flowers with a nice hour long soaking game delay.
I have a philosophy.
Two is one and one is none, so I had four blankets in the back of the truck that I tucked in the wagon.
Plus, I layered for a just in case basis.
If we won game one in the afternoon, we would be finishing up the 6th inning under…
